Leadership

“I am driven to better the lives of our residents within our care one smile or handheld at a time.”

Heidi Hinton

NHA, MS

Administrator

With over 14 years in healthcare, Heidi began her journey as a social worker in a skilled nursing facility—helping residents and families identify their psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs along with aiding in the access of services to meet those needs. From there she earned her master’s degree in Developmental Psychology with a focus on gerontology. Heidi took on her first Administrator role in 2020, during the height of the pandemic for a temporary position—then settling in with Magnolia Lane in 2021.

“At the close of each day, I leave feeling blessed, knowing that I have spent time with our residents, their families, and the team.”

Susan Tester

RN, BSN

Director of  Nursing

With over 30 years of experience in healthcare, Susan knew at a young age that she had a calling to help others. Starting her journey as a certified nursing assistant while earning her nursing degree a few years later, she spent time across three decades in acute care, medical/surgical, psychiatric, long-term care and hospice. She joined Magnolia Lane in 2019 as a floor nurse, where her natural leadership qualities and commitment to excellent patient care were evident from the onset. From there, Susan was promoted to Assistant Director of Nursing, then the Interim Director of Nursing, to her current role of Director of Nursing. Following Susan’s mantra of providing each resident with compassion, love and providing care as they would their own family— Susan’s resolute team of clinicians and support staff play an integral role in providing individualized care to Magnolia Lane residents.
